Here you will find information about all of our student accomodations, and have the possibility to apply.

Renting for students
Everyone who is or will be a student at the University of Tromsø has the opportunity to rent a place to live as long as there is availability.

International students

International students who have applied to UiT within he application deadline, are given the opportunity to reserve a single room in a student hostel. A room will be reserved upon request only. Read more how to apply for accomodation.

Signing with BankID
In order to sign the rental contract electronically, the menu “Signer” must be used. This choice activates the BankID signature program from BBS (Bankenes Betalingssentral). Follow the instruction from the guide and you will be led through the signature process step by step. Signing with help from BankID is easy, safe, and as binding as a handwritten signature on paper.

Signing a contract without Bank ID
For those without BankID or want to sign with a handwritten signature for another reason, the process is as follows:

1. Download the rental contract (PDF-document) by choosing the menu choice “Last ned” (download) and print two copies of the rental contract

2. Sign one copy and return to Student Welfare Organisation (the return address is given in the rental contract)
